William "Willie" Murrell Obituary

William Junior “Willie” Murrell, 76, of Columbia died Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.  Born in Adair County he was the son of the late James William and Edna Ethel Murphy Murrell.  Mr. Murrell was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include three sisters Kathleen Murrell, Estelle Janes and Betty Ann Burton (Bobby) all of Columbia; a brother Otha Connor Murrell of Columbia and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Carol Ann Murrell and Ovalene Robertson.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Stone Cemetery at Fairplay.  Visitation will be after 4:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bro. Elbert Hadley and Bro. Brent Piatt will be officiating and pallbearers will be Chris Burton, Herbert Pike, Anthony Janes, James “Bo’ Murphy, J. D. Janes and Glen Frost.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Burton, Jr. Burton, Vernon Keith, Justin Branham, Richard Allen Hamlett, Kelly Hamlett, David Loy, Sammy Loy and David Lee Sharpe.
