Pauline Mae Gowen, our beloved mother and grandmother, Polly departed this earth to go to her heavenly home on June 12, 2023, in Florida. Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Oris Gowen, infant daughter Debbie, parents William H and Ada Floyd Watts, brother, William C Watts, sisters Lorraine Watts and Delores Foley and her loving dog, Benji. She is survived by her daughter Robyn Feenaughty (Dave), granddaughters Amanda Taylor (John) and Caitlyn Feenaughty.
Born in Detroit Michigan, June 29, 1932, she moved to Stanford, Kentucky as an infant. She grew up on the farm and enjoyed farm life and her horses. She later moved to Columbia, Kentucky and while working at WAIN met her future husband, Oris. They married in 1953 and in 1958 moved to Somerset, KY to start up WTLO. During her time in Somerset, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and entertaining. In 1974 she moved to Naples, Florida and to Tampa in 1987 where she resided until her death.
Polly was a true southern lady who was caring and quick with her sweet smile. She always considered Kentucky home and loved nothing more than her Kentucky Wildcats.
Graveside services will be 10:30am June 21, 2023, at the Sparksville Baptist Church Cemetery.
