Pauline Cheatham, 99, of the Garlin Community of Adair County, KY died Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY. She was born on January 19, 1922 to the late J. W. “Willie” and Mamie Wilcoxson Stephens. She was also preceded in death by her husband Leonard Price Cheatham on July 5, 2010.
Mrs. Cheatham was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was an Avon Sale Representative, worked at Cheatham and Wethington Ashland Oil Distributor, a former greeter at Walmart and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by one son Steve Cheatham and his wife Joyce; five daughters Brenda McQueary and her husband Louis, Pat Blair and her husband Larry, Pam Burton and her husband Billy, Sherry Cheatham and Marty Wooldridge and her husband John all of Columbia, KY; twelve grandchildren Jamie Murrell, Julie Irvin, Robin Loy, Bryan Cheatham, Nikki Loy, Brea Compton, Chad Burton, Josh Kemp, Nick Kemp, Dr. Adam Wooldridge, Ethan Wooldridge and Jordan Burton; thirty great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren and one expected in March; several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two granddaughters Jill and Amanda Blair on July 3, 1985 and five siblings Milton, Johnny, C.C. and Billy Stephens and Ruth Grant.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, August 3, 2021at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00pm Monday and will continue on Tuesday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Rev. William R. Davenport and Rev. Steve Pescosolido will be officiating and pallbearers will be Bryan Cheatham, Chad Burton, Josh Kemp, Nick Kemp, Dr. Adam Wooldridge, Ethan Wooldridge, Caleb Irvin and Ty Cheatham.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Green River Animal Shelter or Joy Ministry and can be left at the funeral home.
The family request that all attendees for the visitation and funeral service wear a mask or face covering.
