Maxie Campbell Obituary

Maxie Reed Campbell, 79, of Columbia, KY died Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home.  Born in Sparksville, KY he was the son of the late Estell and Avis Page Campbell. 

Mr. Campbell attended the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene, was a farmer in the Sparksville community and a veteran of the U. S. Army.  He loved Coon Hunting, working on the farm and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Upchurch Campbell of Sparksville; two sons Brian Campbell (Julie) of Jamestown, KY and Mark Campbell of Columbia; two grandchildren Lhana Taul (Joseph) and Hunter Campbell both of Elizabethtown, KY; a great-granddaughter Maleeah Taul of Elizabethtown; two brothers Bobby Campbell (Faye) of Odin, IL and Frankie Campbell of Shepherdsville, KY; a sister Beverly Petty (Earl) of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Leon, Billy and Raymond Bernard “R. B.” and two sisters Sharon Grant and Teresa Campbell.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Antioch Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home and continue Tuesday morning until time for the service.

Bro. Robert Atkins and Bro. Lonnie Karnes will be officiating and pallbearers will be Barry Petty, Tony Campbell, Jackie Grant, Daryl Campbell, Kevin Campbell and Pat Welch.
