Harold Pedigo "Peck" Hill

Harold Pedigo “Peck” Hill, 95, of Edmonton, KY passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on December 27, 1927, to the late James Wiley and Etta Edna Carter Hill. In 1954 he married the love of his life Mary Evelyn “Dootsie” Viar Hill and was a faithful and loving husband, she also preceded in him in death in August of 2001.

Mr. Hill was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed flower gardening, planting trees, photography, participating in car shows with his 1993 Chevy Pickup and spending time with his family and friends. Peck always had a friendly smile for everyone.

Survivors include two nieces and a nephew Frances Boston (Lloyd) of Edmonton, KY, Danny Hill of Buford, GA, and Juanita Hill Curry (Glen) of Buford, GA; a great nephew Bret Wiley Hill; special friends Mike and Tootsie Wilson of Edmonton, KY, Ruby Smith of Columbia, Kenny and Robin Smith of Columbia, KY, and Paige Smith Donnelly of Bowling Green, KY and several other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by five siblings Horace William Hill, J. T. Lawson, Hugh Lawson, Lindso Lawson and Ava Lawson.

Graveside services will be 1:00pm Friday, August 25, 2023, at Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Steve Smith will be officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday from 11:30am-12:00pm with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 6097 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
