Forest C. and Kenneth E. Gibson

Forest C. Gibson, 92, of Oaklawn, IL passed away on October 31, 2020.  Forest was born to Claude and Hannah Gibson on September 23, 1928.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives Mayrene Sexton Gibson and Sylvia Kegney Gibson; his sons Kenneth E. Gibson and John F. Gibson (Theresa); his sisters Agnes (Gilliam) Lacy, Dorothy (Rondal) Clemmons and his brothers Wilbur (Lou Willie) Gibson, Albert (Mabel) Gibson, Robert (Virginia) Gibson and Charles (Shirley) Gibson.  Forest is survived by his daughter Dr. Claudette (Jeffrey Breuer); five grandchildren Tina, Kimberly, Kenneth F., Sherri and Jack J. and ten great grandchildren Krystina, Joseph, Haylee, Lauren, Dominic, Robert, Sophia, Gabriella, Kennth Jr and Anastasia.  He retired from running his own Barber Shop for 30 years, he spent half his time in Ft. Myers Beach, FL and the rest in Illinois.  Forest loved his family and friends.

On Friday March 19, 2021 Kenneth E Gibson “JD” of Venice, FL passed away at the age of 66. Kenneth was born on September 17, 1954 to Forest and Mayrene Gibson. He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother John F Gibson. Loving and devoted Father to Tina (Tim) Wolf, Kimberly (Adam) Levy, and Kenneth F Gibson, Grandfather to Krystina, Joseph, Haylee, Lauren, Dominic, Robert, Sophia, Gabriella, Kenneth Jr and Anastasia, Sister to Claudette (Jeffrey) Gibson, Uncle to Jack. Kenneth retired to Venice, FL in 2014 with his children and grandchildren. He worked as an auto body repair man and tile setter until he retired. Friend to many, loved by many.

Both Forest and Kenneth chose cremation and a joint memorial graveside service will be 1:00pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Fudge Cemetery.
