David Ferguson Mann, 74, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his residence. Born in Knifley, KY he was the son of the late W. O. “Candy” and Pauline Ferguson Mann. He was a member of the Plum Point Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He was also the founder of the Coffee Can Fund at the church.
Mr. Mann was a veteran of U. S. Army, a retired Kentucky State Trooper and a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #96. He also loved fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Mayse Mann of Columbia; a sister Sharon Smith of Irvington, KY; a brother-in-law Richard Mayse (Phyllis) of Glensfork, KY; nieces and nephews Leslie Mann, Todd Curts, Sulayne Grider (J. D.), Heather Grider (Josh), Samantha Harrelson (Neil) and Sara Grider and a special friend that David loved as a granddaughter Gracie Dornan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Nanette Bridges and a brother Wendell Mann.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home and continue Wednesday morning until time for the service.

Bro. Steve Willis will be officiating and pallbearers will be Billy Rice, Mike Eck, Danny Brockman, Ed Wise, J. D. Grider, and Tucker Yarberry.
