Zella Mae Lewis Monroe, 76, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her residence. She was born on August 4, 1948, in Banner, KY to the late Bascom and Minnie Marie Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harold Kenneth Monroe, Jr. and two siblings Leona and William Reo Lewis.

Mrs. Monroe was a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church and a former teacher for Anderson County Schools. She was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include three children Amy Monroe (Randy Curry) and Mary Beth Monroe both of Columbia, KY and Harold Kenneth Monroe III (Nickie) of Lawrenceburg, KY; two grandchildren Russell Lewis Curry and Katie Monroe; six siblings Albert Lewis of Columbia, KY, Larry Lewis (Nancy), Charles Lewis (Nancy), Joe Lewis, and Patricia Ratliff (Bob) all of West Liberty, KY and Alice Robinson (Mike) of Hazel Green, KY; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Tasha Reuter and two special nephews Brent Ratliff and Zion Walton.

Graveside services will be 12:00pm Eastern Time Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Sand Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY.

Bro. Garrett Franklin will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Jason Black, Karl Tucker, Zion Walton, Monte Dailey, Brent Ratliff, Randy Curry, and Mike Robinson. Honorary pallbearer will be Doug Padgett.
