WINNIE HURT age 94 years of 601 Grissom Street, Columbia, KY passed away Tuesday October 17, 2006 at 4:15 A.M. at the Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville, KY after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late: John Taylor & Lura McFarland Banks of Adair County, Kentucky
She was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard Hurt on May 2, 1974
Survived by a foster son:
Kenton Antle & his wife: Frances of Columbia, KY and their son: Brett
Two nephews: Eddie VanArsdale & David VanArsdale both of Columbia
Great nephews: Terry, Todd, Jason, Louis & Kenneth VanArsdale
Great niece: Brenda Collins
Great great nephews & niece: Schyler, Quinton, Andrew, Jonathon, Renita
VanArsdale & Dylan Collins
Two step great great nephews: Jeremy & Jacob Irvin
A special friend: Virginia Gadberry of Fairplay, KY
Two special caregivers: Paula Grant & Marie Booker of Columbia, KY
She was preceded in death by a sister: Betty VanArsdale,
a half brother: Dennis Banks and by a nephew: Bobby VanArsdale
Mrs. Hurt was a member of the Jamestown Church of Christ and attended the
Columbia Church of Christ, she was a retired Postmaster of the Gadberry
Post Office, retired from Western Electric in Chicago, Illinois and was a Homemaker.
Funeral service: Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
