Wilburn Art "Billy" Burton, 78, of Coxs Creek, KY passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Columbia, KY on September 15, 1946, to the late Finis and Edna Earl Wilkerson Burton.

Mr. Burton was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army and an avid hunter; he also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Carol Wilson Burton of Coxs Creek, KY and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings Kenneth Burton, Van Keith Burton, Mary Louise Griffin, Jeanetta Faye Bradley, Betty Sue Woosley, Marcella Eaton.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Moore Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 6097.

Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Tuesday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
