Warren Collins age 86 years of St. Petersburg, Florida formerly of

Clinton County passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Northside

Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida after an illness.

He was the son of the late: Vander Martin and Lillian Cecil Collins

of Russell County, Kentucky

Dr. Collins was a US Army World War II veteran and went on to

Graduate from Western Kentucky University. He earned his

Doctorate from the University of Illinois. Dr. Collins was a professor

At various universities and became an economist.

He traveled world-wide and was a master bridge player.

Presently Dr. Collins was a member of the Riveria United Methodist

Church.

Survivors include one daughter:

Martha "Marty" Leafe and husband: Derry of Hobbs, New Mexico

Two sons;

Tom Collins of Tampa, Florida

Jack Collins and his wife: Amy of St. Petersburg, Florida

One brother:

Luther Collins of Columbia, KY

One sister:

Elizabeth Webb of Cincinnati, Ohio

Three grandchildren:

Erin Collins, Michael Collins, Megan Collins,

Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends survive

Funeral service: Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. at Stotts-

Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY

Clergy officiating: Rev. David Alexander

Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery
