Columbia, KY (the Ozark Community) passed away Wednesday,

September 24, 2008 at 4:10 PM at the Summit Manor Health &

Rehab Center in Columbia after several months illness.

He was the son of the late: Walker & Dimple Cheatham Powell of

Adair County, KY

Survived by his wife: Joyce Triplett Powell of Columbia, KY

Two sons: Kenny Powell of Columbia, KY

Bobby Powell & wife: Jennifer of Columbia, KY

Two brothers: W.T. Powell of Columbia, KY

John Owen Powell of Louisville, KY

Two sisters: Faye Warren of Columbia, KY & Mary Alice Spears of

Louisville, KY

Four grandchildren: Wesley Powell, Heather Powell, Mallory Powell &

Michael Heitzman

Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends

Mr. Powell was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator in Adair

& Russell County
