Tom E. Holmes Sr. age 82 a resident of Glasgow Health and Rehab passed away

Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:40 A.M. after several weeks illness.

He was born April 11, 1930 in Adair County, Kentucky

The son of the late: Leslie and Clarice Goodin Holmes of Adair County

Mr. Holmes was a retired pharmacist and operated the George J. Ellis Drug Store on the square in Glasgow for 42 years and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include one daughter:

Debbie Modjeski of Pennsylvania

One son:

Tom Holmes Jr. of Glasgow, KY

Two brothers:

Russell Holmes of Columbia, KY

Sam B. Holmes of Columbia, KY

One sister:

Elizabeth Holmes Burton of Columbia, KY

Several nieces and nephew and a host of relatives and friends

Funeral service: Friday April 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home 210 Greensburg Street Columbia, KY

Officiating: Bro. Gerald Reliford and Bobby Richardson

Burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery in Columbia, KY

The family request visitation after 2:00 PM on Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
