Thelma Harper Miller Cundiff, 90, of Columbia, KY died Friday, September 2, 2022 at her daughter's Residence surrounded by her family. She was born on November 28, 1931 in Columbia, KY to the late Otha Miller and Anna Lewis Harper. She then moved to Texas and lived with her loving aunt and uncle, John Burns and Julia Horton from the age of 3 until she married.
She was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church and formerly attended Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from the U S Federal Government after many years with the Selective Service and U S Forest Service. Her compassion was well known to the families that had young family members going off to the Vietnam War. She was known as "Ma Ma Honey" to family and friends.
Survivors include three children Robert Russell Cundiff (Pam) of Campbellsville, KY, Anne Compton (Danny) of Edmonton, KY and Todd Cundiff of Georgetown, KY; eight grandchildren Brooke Walker (Cameron) of Columbia, KY, Brittany Watson (Steve) of Glasgow, KY, Sam Cundiff of Georgetown, KY, Riley Compton (Liz) of Louisville, KY, Brandy Bragg (Chuck) of Shepardsville, KY, Christopher Compton (Brittany), Marsha Graham (Patrick) and Josh Graham all of Campbellsville, KY; twelve great grandchildren Kelsi and Kenli Walker, Evan and Owen Compton, Kailey Garmon, Ashton, Brooklyn, Bentley, Alexis, Christian, Victoria and Kate Graham; a sister-in-law Peggy Miller Freeman of Campbellsville, KY; two nieces Sarah Jean Corbin and Suzanne Rogers and nine nephews listed below as pallbearers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by six siblings Sam Miller, Don Miller, Otha Miller, Jr., Mary Welch Pickett, Billie Jo Miller Edwards and Julia Miller.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, September 5, 2022 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue of Monday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Rev. Bill Davenport and Rev. Steve Pescosolido will be officiating and pallbearers will be her nephews Billy Burns Picket, Pat Miller, Tommy Edwards, Jeff Miller, Bradley Miller, Brannon Miller, Michael Miller, Mike Holmes and Maurice Holmes.
