Community in Adair County passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:45 A.M.

at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY

He was born on April 26, 1928 at Ella, KY

He was the son of the late Mont O. & Mary Liz Goodin Hardwick of

Adair County

Husband of Catherine Virginia Williams Hardwick who preceded him

in death on Oct. 31, 1997

He is survived by sons

John E. Hardwick (Elizabeth) of Travelers Rest, SC

David W. Hardwick (Linda) of Mauldin, SC

Grandchildren

Zane & Dylan Hardwick of Charleston, SC

Jonathan Hardwick (Christina) of Travelers Rest, SC

Erin Connelly (Kevin) of Greenville, SC

Great Grandchildren

Gavin Hardwick, Riley Hardwick & Patrick Connelly

He is survived by numerous nephews, Nieces, Cousins, also

Special friend Jet Shepherd

He was a member of New Hope Separate Baptist Church, a man of

"The Greatest Generation" of all times. Having proud served in the

United States Army 23 years. A Veteran of WWII, Korean & Vietnam Wars.

He was also a Kentucky Colonel.

He spent his civilian career in the field of Communications

at New Hope Separate Baptist Church
