at 3:20 P.M. at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY after an illness

He was the son of the late Leslie & Clarice Goodin Holmes of Adair County

He was born on Nov. 4, 1922 in Adair County

Survived by his wife: Manette Smith Holmes of Columbia, KY

One son Philip (Geneva) Holmes of Columbia, KY

One daughter Joyce (Sovel) Stephens of Russell Springs, KY

One sister Elizabeth Holmes Burton of Columbia, KY

One brother Sam Bingham Holmes of Columbia, KY

Three Grandchildren Shawn Sovel Stephens, Shannon Warren Stephens &

Seth Eden Stephens

Eight Great Grandchildren Jessica Humble, Rebecca Stephens, Shawn Glenn

Stephens, Nathan Stephens, William Isaac Stephens, Walker Isaiah Stephens,

Alexa Paige Stephens & Owen Alexander Stephens

One Great Great Grandson by the name of Elliott

A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, member of the Adair

Gideon Camp, was a Farm Equipment Dealer, Farmer, Merchant & Real Estate

Agent

He was preceded in death by one brother Tom Edd Homes, Jr.
