RUBY BJALOBOK, 95 years of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at 3:10 AM at her home after several months illness.

She was born September 16, 1919 in Tyronza, Arkansas the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte Coats Preston

She was preceded in death by her husband; John Bjalobok and by one daughter

Ruby was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and was a former seamstress. She was a US Army World War II veteran, she hosted foreign exchange students of Adair County High School for many years and was a foster parent to many children. She was also a lifelong advocate for animals.

Survived by two daughters:

Rita Bjalobok of Columbia, KY

Frances Bjalobok of Lexington, KY

One brother:

Donald Preston of Arkansas

Three sisters:

Helen Pitchler and Elsie Preston both of California

Carol Rainey of Arkansas

And by a lifelong friend Gladys Murrell of Columbia, KY

Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM Good Shepherd Catholic Church Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY
