Ruben "Hoover"Gaskins age 91 years of Campbellsville, KY formerly of the Ella Community in Adair County passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at 4:42 PM at
Baptist East Hospital, Louisville, KY.
He was born on March 13, 1926 in Kokomo, IN.
The son of the late Alvin & Mary Ann Williams Gaskins
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Opal Hubbard Gaskins on Oct. 1, 2014,
two brothers James Ray Gaskins & Paul Gaskins, two sisters
Inis Stroup & Unema Roberts
He is survived by one son:
Doug (Kim) Gaskins of Louisville, KY
Sisters:
Opal Temple of Russiaville, IN
Geneva Workman of Louisville, KY
1 Grandson Conner Gaskins
several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive
He attended the New Hope Separate Baptist Church, he retired from Ingersoll Rand in Campbellsville, he was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the U.S. Army, was a Paratrooper in 82nd Airborne, he enjoyed singing & playing guitar with family & friends, an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan
