passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 3:50 PM at the Jane Todd

Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY after several weeks illness.

He was born January 13, 1917 in Burkesville, KY the son of the late:

Wesley & Amelia Radford Melton

He was preceded in death by one daughter: Diane Kerr in 2003 also

2 grandchildren Valerie Keith and Andrea Melton and by one great

grandchild Adam Keith by 2 brothers and four sisters

Survived by his wife: Rebecca J. Grant Melton of Columbia, KY

One son: Doug Melton & wife Fredia of Columbia, KY

One daughter: Linda Roy & husband: Arvile of Columbia, KY

One son in law: Cotton Kerr & wife: Cheryl of Columbia, KY

Two step children: Dale Carter & wife Carol of Lula, Georgia

and Joyce West & husband Freeman of Columbia, KY

One brother: Herman Melton of Columbia, KY

Two sisters: Iva Norris of Russellville, KY & Virginia Edwards of

Smiths Grove, KY

Seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren

also survive

Mr. Melton was a member of the Praise Assembly of God, a farmer, a

U.S. Army World War II veteran, a longtime member of VFW Post 6097
