ROBERT "BOB" SMITH age 78 years of the Bob Smith Road, Columbia, KY passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY after a short illness.

He was born May 11, 1933 in Cumberland Co. KY the son of the late: Luther and Sara Hoover Smith

He was preceded in death by his wife: Dollie Wooldridge Smith on January 3, 1998

Survived by:

One son: Ricky Smith and wife Linda of Columbia, KY

One brother: Jessie Smith of Louisville, KY

Two granddaughters:

Shana Palumbo and husband Nicholas of Columbia, KY

Sheena Smith and husband Gary of Columbia, KY

One step great grandson: Gary K. Smith

He was expecting two great grandchildren at the time of his death

He was preceded in death by an infant son: Charles Ray Smith in 1954 by two brothers: Russell Smith and Daniel Webster Smith and three sisters: Gladys Estes, Janie Pike and Zelma Louise Wheeler

Mr. Smith attended the Hadley's Community Church, was a US Army veteran, a farmer

He was a longtime gunsmith operating R.E. Smith Gun Repair for many years.
