Ret. Lt. John E. Humkey from the Kentucky State Police, age 82 of Columbia, Ky.

passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 9:20 A. M. at Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center in Columbia, Ky.

He was born on Nov. 2, 1929 in Lebanon, Ky.

He was the son of the late William A. & Harriett Nuel Doody Humkey, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce C. Graham Humkey on Oct. 7, 2008

He is survived by one son: John K. Humkey of Bowling Green, Ky.

Two brothers: Lawrence J. Humkey of Louisville, Ky. & Henry F. Humkey of West Peoria, IL

several nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives & friends survive

John was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church,

he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict,

he was awarded several medals, including the Silver Star

Funeral Mass Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. CST at the Good Shepherd Cahtolic Church on Greensburg St.
