Ralph James Compton age 85 of 120 Independence Ridge Road, Breeding, KY

(the Breeding Community) passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 19, 2010

at his home.

He was born in the Leatherwood Community of Adair County on July 3, 1924

He was the son of the late: James Robert & Josie Coomer Compton of Adair Co.

Preceded in death by his wife: Emma Smith Compton in March of 2009

a sister: Maxine Gilley a brother Ruel Compton and two infant siblings.

Survived by two sisters:

Martha Lacy of Breeding, KY

Marcella Wagner of Glasgow, KY

Two brothers:

Bee Compton of Glasgow, KY

Billy Compton of Louisville, KY

Survived by several nieces and nephews and friends

Mr. Compton was a member of the Coral Hill Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
