Phyllis Loy age 58 years of 210 Spoon - Loy Road, Fairplay, KY
(the Fairplay Community) passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 at her home after several months illness.
She was the daughter of the late:
Rurel Clyde & Bertha Mae Myers Radford of Adair County, KY
Survived by her husband: Tony Loy of Fairplay, KY
One son: Timothy Loy & his wife Donna of Knifley, KY
One daughter: Amy Sandusky of Fairplay, KY
One sister: Pat Grant of Columbia, KY
Three grandchildren:
Ashleigh Loy Popplewell, Garet Edward Sandusky, Hallie Jo Sandusky
Also survived by several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Radford in 1971
Phyllis was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church & attended the Union Chapel Church
Phyllis worked for Union Underwear in Campbellsville (later known as Fruit
Of the Loom) for 10 years. In February of 1976 she began her banking career at the First National Bank of Columbia (now known as First and Farmers National Bank for 28 years. She enjoyed working in every department and earned the position of Assistant Vice President/Loan Officer. In the spring of 2004, Phyllis agreed to take a position with a
De Nova bank, which would become United Citizens Bank of Southern KY
Where she was instrumental the formation & organization of the bank
Serving as Executive Vice-President, Chief Operations Officer & Loan Officer up until the time of her illness
Funeral service: Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
Clergy officiating: Bro. Ronnie Janes
Interment in the Loy Cemetery - Fairplay, KY
The family request visiting after 3:00 PM on Monday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
