Pearl Franklin age 89 years formerly of the Flatwoods area of Adair County

passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1:10 a.m. at the Golden Living Green Hills Manor in Greensburg, KY after several weeks illness.

She was born September 1, 1924 in Gradyville, KY the daughter of the late: Silas and May Estes Spoon of Adair County, Kentucky

She was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Henry Franklin on April 15, 1996 and by an infant daughter: Florene Franklin and by one sister: Emmer Spoon

Survived by four sons:

Johnson Lee Franklin and wife Linda of Richmond, Virginia

Garnett Lee Fanklin of Columbia, KY

Carl Franklin and wife Clarice of Greensburg, KY

Bobby Ray Franklin of Columbia, KY

Three daughters:

Christine Croghan of Campbellsville, KY

Pauline Holmes and husband Kenny of Rusell Springs, KY

Carolyn May Dixon and husband Charles of Mobile, Alabama

13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren survive

Mrs. Franklin was a homemaker and farmer
