December 4, 2015 at 11:10 PM at Summit Manor Health and Rehab

Columbia, KY

She was born November 25, 1927 at Blackey, KY

She was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Polly Roark Dunn of Perry Co. KY

Preceded in death by her husband James Hammonds in 2001 and One son James David Hammonds, a Grandson Kevin Hammonds in 2003 & one sister Mildred Sue Brashear

Survived by her son Danny and wife Diane Hammonds of Columbia, KY

One granddaughter Jenny Burton of Columbia, KY

And one great grandchild Preston Burton

One sister: Mary Emma Warwick of Louisville, KY

Mrs. Hammonds was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hazard, KY.

She served the church in a variety of positions which included; church secretary,

bible school director, Sunday school director, operator of the church kindergarten

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed needle work.

Funeral service: Monday December 7, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary

Funeral Home.

Interment in the Rest Haven Memorial Garden in Hazard, KY Tuesday, Dec. 8, 12 noon EST
