Obituary

BARDSTOWN RESIDENT:

Oral Thomas age 92 years of Cox's Creek, Kentucky passed away

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 4:10 A.M. at the Flaget Memorial Hospital

in Bardstown, KY after several months illness.

Mr. Thomas was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church, a World War

II US Navy Seaman Second Class, was employed by Allied Sash & Door

in Louisville, KY, and was a part time driver for Around the Town Carriage in Bardstown, KY

He was preceded in death by his parents: Logan & Lucy Luttrell Thomas of

Casey County, Kentucky

Two sons: Dale Thomas and Doc Thomas,

Four brothers Ernest Luttrell & Otis Thomas and by two infant brothers

Also preceded by two sisters: Bertha Lay & Bessie Pettyjohn

Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 45 years:

Helen Frankum Thomas of Cox's Creek, KY

Three sons Callis Thomas of Cincinnati, Ohio

Richard Thomas of Cincinnati, Ohio

Steven Thomas of Cambridge, Massachusetts

Two daughters:

Freida Gosser of Russell Springs, KY

Carol Wilson of Somerset, KY

7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and neighbors survive.

Funeral service: Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Central time

at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY

Clergy officiating: Rev. Eugene Wilson and Rev. Arlis Luttrell

Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia, KY

The family request visiting after 1:00 PM Friday Central at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary
