Onda Wayne Burton, 71, of Columbia, KY passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at his residence. He was born on June 11, 1954, in Columbia, KY to the late Lether Green Burton and Ruthie Mae Bryant Burton.

Mr. Burton enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagle hounds and listening to rock music.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews Dewayne McKinney (Lasara), Rodney Burton (Ashley), Kayla Hagedorn (Vince), Cagney Burton, Suzanna Streeval (Tony), Greg Burton (Amanda), Teresa Burton (Jimmy), Donnie Burton (Sharon), Larry Burton, Phillip Burton, and Connie Rich (David).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine siblings Katie Jean McKinney, Wendell, Joseph, Zenith, Jimmy, Ronald “Moonbeam”, Gobbel, Minnie and Wanda Burton, a niece Norma Hatcher and a nephew Kevin Burton.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Richard Lehman will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Gregory Burton, Dewayne McKinney, Rodney Burton, Donnie Burton, Randy Hatcher, and Danny Hatcher.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
