Obituary

Minnie Corbin Rubarts age 91 of 555 Howard Dulin Road, Columbia, KY

passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 6:40 A.M. at her home after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of the late: Alfred B. & Emma Triplett Corbin of

Adair County, KY

Preceded in death by her husband: Elmer Ray Rubarts on May 11, 1987

Mrs. Rubarts was a teacher and guidance counselor in the Adair County School System for many years, she was a past member of the Adair County Retired Teachers Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, Adair Heritage Association, Past President of the Columbia Women's Club, a member of the Columbia Christian Church and an avid gardener and homemaker.

Survived by one brother:

A.B. Corbin Jr. of Columbia, KY

One sister:

Cylina Zink of Fredericksburg, IN

Survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and former students.

She was preceded in death by the brothers and sisters:

Elvin Corbin, Christine Morgan, Allen Triplett Corbin, Allie Hixson, Julia Mae Corbin

Funeral service: Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Clergy officiating: Bro. Terry White & Bro. Raymond Martin

Interment in the Corbin Family Cemetery
