Milton Stephens age 93 years of Columbia passed away Saturday July 28, 2012
at 5:50 P.M. at Westlake Regional Hospital
He was born on July 16, 1919 in Adair County
He was the son of the late J. W. "Willie" & Mamie Wilcoxson Stephens
He is survived by his wife: Helen Burton Stephens
Two sons: Michael Lee Stephens & Anita Begley, Richard Wayne Stephens &
wife Marilyn Burton Stephens of Columbia, Ky.
also locally by one sister: Pauline Stephens Cheatham
4 Grandchildren: Chris Stephens, LaGene Sexton & husband Mendel, Ryan Stephens,
Lee Stephens & wife Lindsey
4 Great Grandchildren: Meridith Corbin, Hayley Stephens, Trey Stephens &
Raegann Stephens
Preceded in death by three brothers & one sister Johnny Stephens, C.C. Stephens, Billy Stephens &
Ruth Grant
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives & friends
Milton was a Christian & attended the Trinity United Methodist Church, was a farmer & a
Veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army with these; Decorations European
Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with Four (4) Bronze Battle Stars;
Two (2) Purple Heart with Two (2) Oak Leaf Cluster; Good Conduct Medal; American
Defense Service Medal.
