MICHAEL "MITCHELL" FURKINS, 54 of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 12:10 PM at his home after several months illness.

He was born July 6, 1964 in Glasgow, KY the son of the late: Ural Ray Furkins and Artie Marie Pelston Furkins, also preceded in death by two sisters; Della Mae Mandoza and Joyce Janes

Survived by his wife:  Mary Louise Pelston Furkins of Columbia, KY

Daughter: Laura Elizabeth Furkins of Columbia, KY

Son:   Michael Shane Furkins of Columbia, KY

Three brothers:  Norman Furkins, Patrick Furkins, Dale Furkins all of Columbia, Ky

Three sisters: Leona Akin of Columbia, KY  Charlotte York  and Carlotte George both of Russell Springs, KY

Mitchell was a former logger with Kentucky Tie and Lumber and Whitney & Whitney and a farmer.
