Melvin Odell Wooten, 65, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, KY. He was born on October 16, 1958, in Corydon, IN to the late Jacob Odell and Mable Wheeler Wooten.

Mr. Wooten attended the Living by Faith Church and enjoyed riding around with his K9 companion "Molly".

Survivors include a son Melvin Jacob Odell Wooten of Columbia, KY; three daughters Michelle Wooten of South Carolina, Melissa Wooten of Russell Springs, KY and Tina Wooten of Russell Springs; two sisters Marilyn Sneed (Bobby) of Columbia, KY and Doris Jean Bachman (Dave) of Indiana; a sister-in-law Cathy Wooten; his K9 companion "Molly" and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Melinda Wooten and nine siblings Ceclia, Priscilla, Patricia, Delores, Roger, Rodney, Marshall, Jacob Odell Jr., and Marvin Odell.

Graveside services will be 2:30pm Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Coomer Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00-2:00pm at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
