Mary Alice Rooks, age 85 years of 204 Montgomery St., Columbia, Ky. passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 1:17 A. M. at her home after illness

She was the daughter of the late Ralph Lee & Hattie Carter Day

born on July 5, 1925 in Grayson County, Ky.

She was the widow of Charles Lewis Rooks who preceded her in death on June 12, 1996

She is survived by three daughters: Charlotte Thompson & husband Mark of Columbia, Ky.,

Patricia L. Hopper & husband Kenny of Russell Springs, Ky.

Iona Hook & husband Jimmy of Springfield, Ky.

Two sons: Allen Rook & wife Collene of Columbia, Ky.

Alburn Lewis Rooks & wife Pam of Bardstown, Ky.

Special friend Carolyn Sue Beckett

13 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren,

several nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives & friends survive

she was preceded in death by one daughter: Imogene Gogel in 1994 and a special friend Lula Jackson

she was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church and was retired
