Mary Irene Groce, 91, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Russell Springs, KY on December 9, 1933, to the late Oakley Allen and Decie Evelyn Johnson Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband Marcus Ray Groce.

Mrs. Groce was a member of the Trinity Church and enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Survivors include her sister-in-law Geneva Lee of Columbia, KY and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six siblings Richard Edward Lee (Mary), Paul Lee, Delmer Lee (Alma), Arvist Lee (Ruby), Herman Oakley Lee, and Lena Mae Fouler (Eugene).

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, January 23, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Thursday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Rev. Steve Pescosolido will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Chuck Sharp, Jared Lee, Danny Pyles, Stephen Edwards, Doug Lee, and Larry Baker.
