Marion "Snowbird" Murphy, 79, of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on June 19, 1943, in Cumberland County, KY to the late Ruben and Aileen Baker Murphy.

Mr. Murphy was a member of the Old Concord Community Church and enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Sheila Kimbler Murphy of Columbia, KY; a daughter Mirah Murphy of Columbia, KY; a sister Bernice Burton and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Tommy and Mickey Murphy.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Wednesday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Pat Smith will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Jeff Kimbler, Troy Kimbler, Ben Kimbler, David Adams, Allen Kimbler, Josh Burton, Preston Edwards, Gavin Brockman, Damon Honaker, and Trayton Stargel.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses or the charity of your choice.
