LOUISE LONG, 83 a resident of Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at  9:14 AM at the Russell County Hospital.

She was born May 31, 1934 in the Garlin Community of Adair County, KY the daughter of the late Frank and Edith Ann Neat Rigney of Adair County. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son; Billy Long and by one infant son Kenneth Long in 1958   siblings J.W. Rigney, Pauline Scearce and Gay Farris

Survived by two daughters:

Phyllis Grant of Jamestown, KY

Jeanette Applegate of Thornton, Colorado

Two brothers;  Irvin (Josephine) Rigney and Frank Rigney Jr. both of Louisville, KY

One sister; Betty Akin of Columbia, KY

9 grandchildren, Kenny Long, Shane Grant, Shad(Shauna) Grant, Shanna(Anthony) Darnell, Shalonda Bennett,  Tonya(Joe) Reynolds, Jacob Applegate, Joshua Applegate, Nathan Long.

22 Great Grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren

Louise was retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, and attended several area churches

Funeral service: Wednesday February 28, 2018 at  4:00 PM  at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
