Louie Kensey Beard age 67 years departed this life on Sunday, June 2, 2013

at 2:20 P.M. after a long battle with multiple sclerosis

He was the son of Caleb Powers and Nellie Posey Beard of

the Portland Community, Milltown, Ky.

He had resided in Summit Manor Nursing Home for several years

His wife, Judy Gail Burton Beard of 38 years survives

He is survived by one daughter Jennifer Gail Bennett and her husband Joey

of Columbia, Ky.

one son survives Jeremy Kensey Beard and his wife Rachel of Bronston, Ky.

Louie was blessed with four grandchildren Emily Brooke &

Brayden Dale Bennett of Columbia, Ky.

also Jocelyn Grace and Jillian Kensley Beard of Bronston, Ky.

one sister Leava Dean Coomer and her husband Cordell survive

Louie dedicated his life to Christ at a young age and was a member of

Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved nature and

enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a longtime farmer until the onset

of his illness. He leaves behind many relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
