LORIE ANN COOMER, 52 of Columbia, KY formerly of Liberty, KY passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 1:14 PM as the result of an explosion and fire at her home on M. Coomer Road, Columbia, KY. She was born July 9, 1963 in Ft. Myers, Florida the daughter of the late: Charles Sikes and Mary Ann James.

She was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Rodgers in 2009 and later married Mitchell Coomer of Columbia.

Lorie was involved in the Triple C Drilling Company in Columbia, KY and the Kentuckiana Truck Pullers Association.

Lorie and her husband Mitchell and her granddaughter Kinley Rodgers departed this life together January 26, 2016.

Survivors include her mother: Mary Ann James of Liberty, KY

One daughter: Heather Rodgers of Lexington, KY

One son: Joshua Rodgers and wife Ashley of Liberty, KY

One granddaughter: Lakkin Rodgers of Liberty

Four brothers: Charles R. Sikes of Paducah, KY, Darrin James of Liberty, KY, C.W. Sikes of Alva, FL, Robert James of Purdy, MO.

Five sisters: Tammy Thomas of Tazewell, TN, Tina Whidden of Kirbyville, TX, Tracy Bradley of Danville, KY, Melissa James of Purdy, MO, Kimberly Dillion of Alva, FL.

Survived by 29 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews.

A joint memorial service for Lorie Rodgers Coomer, Mitchell Coomer, Kinley Rodgers and Steven Aaron Keltner will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM CST at 3trees Church 3515 Russell Springs Road, Russell Springs, KY

Visitation will begin after 3:00 PM CST Monday at 3trees Church.

A joint celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM CST at 3trees Church, Cremation has been chosen and any donations to the Rodgers Family should be made to the 3trees Church PO Box 562 Russell Springs, KY 42642.
