Lois Mae Claiborne, 77, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Tristar Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN.  She was born on January 21, 1945 in Adair County to the late Joe and Emma Moore Absher.

Lois was of the Church of God faith and enjoyed flower gardening, driving the countryside and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son Kevin Claiborne of Columbia, KY; two grandsons Dusty and Dylan Claiborne of Columbia, KY; a sister Alma Furkins of Columbia, KY; a special niece Patricia Floyd of Columbia, KY and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parent she was preceded in death by a special friend Alvie Lee Burton and six siblings Edith Floyd, Thelma Wall, Allene Collins, Mattie Lawhorn, James Absher and Hollin Absher.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 10:00am Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
