(the Sano Community) passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home .

He was born December 9, 1941 in Adair County the son of the late: James Russell and

Josephine Burton Denton, he was preceded in death by a brother: William Robert "Billy"

Denton and a nephew David Denton

Survived by three brothers:

Jimmy Denton & wife: Juanita of Columbia, KY

J.W. Denton and wife: Mitchelene of Columbia, KY

Freddie Denton and wife: Sharlet of Columbia, KY

Three sisters:

Sandra Bryant and husband: Willard of Columbia, KY

Minnie Smith and husband: Barry of Columbia, KY

Marty Ellis and husband: Jimmy of Columbia, KY

13 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews survive

Mr. Denton attended the Free Union Separate Baptist Church and was a self- employed logger.

Funeral service: Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Free Union Separate Baptist Church 4642 Sano Road, Columbia , KY

Interment in the Free Union Cemetery

The family request visiting after 3:30 Thursday and from 6:00 AM until 11:15 PM Friday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home and after 12 noon Friday at Free Union Separate Baptist Church
