LELAND GRANT age 84 of Liberty Road, Columbia, KY (the Neatsville Community of Adair County)

passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 8:47 P.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY

after several months illness.

He was born August 24, 1926 the son of the late: Robert Aaron & Shirley Williams Grant of Neatsville, KY

Mr. Grant is survived by his wife:

Virginia Ferguson Grant of Columbia, KY

Three daughters:

Marsha Wayne of Campbellsville, KY

Beverly Myers and husband Danny of Columbia, KY

Janna Hayes and husband Larry of Campbellsville, KY

One son:

Ronnie Grant and wife Jane of Columbia, KY

One brother: Billy Grant of Columbia, KY

Three sisters: Elizabeth Faust of Louisville, KY Ramona Collins of Hopkinsville, KY

Joyce Flynn of Costa Mesa, California

6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild survives

He was preceded in death by one grandchild and by one sister: Evelyn McCloud

Mr. Grant was a member of the Tabernacle Christian Church where he served as a deacon for several

years, a US Marine veteran of World War II, he and his wife had operated Grant's Grocery at Neatsville for 55 years and was an avid fisherman his entire life.

Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097
