L T Richard, 85, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on August 19, 1940, in Gradyville, KY to the late William “Bill” and Kizzie Janes Richard. Mr. Richard enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Gay Vails Richard of Columbia, KY; three children Herbert Louis Richard (Connie) of Cromwell, IN, Glenn “Fuzzy” Dale Richard (Lisa) of Columbia, KY and Timothy Wayne Richard (Brandi) of Campbellsville, KY; grandchildren Stephanie Elaine Wolfe (Anthony), Anissa Marie Richard Orender (Clayton), Dustin Richard (Brooke), Vincent Wayne Richard (Brianna) and Abigail Richard; four step grandchildren Jessie Dean Yikes, Zachery Freels, Michiah Baxter and Skyla Hayden; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; a sister Lucy Long of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Vickie Sue Richard McClister, a great grandson Richard Timothy Kerr and six siblings Artie Richard, Mag Sneed, Margie Sneed, Bernice Taylor, Margaret Davis and Pete Richard.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:30-8:00pm and will continue Saturday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Bro. Larry Brown and Bro. John Loy will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Bobby Foster, Ronnie Morgan, Brian Cowan, Vincent Richard, Tony Sneed and Chuck Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Michiah Baxter, Mark Coomer, Dustin Richard, Stephanie Wolfe, Adam Rooks and Anthony Meece.
