after a brief illness

He was born on April 20, 1972 in Louisville, KY

He was the son of Mike Akin of Columbia & the late

Thelma Jean Burton Akin who preceded him in death on July

19, 1991 also preceded in death by an infant son Christopher

Michael Akin

Besides his father he is survived by his wife Marla Bryant Akin

of Columbia, KY

one daughter Shelby Akin of Columbia, KY

one step-daughter Sydnie Nivens of Columbia, KY

His Grandfather Elbert Burton of Columbia, KY

Father-in-law Edwin Bryant of Columbia, KY

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he was a

former EMT & was owner of Kenny Akin Contracting

Funeral service Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

Interment in Freedom Cemetery
