She was born August 12, 1916 the daughter of the late Owen E and Media Petty Cheatham of Adair Co. KY

She was preceded in death by a son: David Leon Murphy in July 2014, two brothers Russell Cheatham and Gravely Cheatham

Survived by a son: Jimmie Murphy and wife Louise of Palos Hills, Illinois

4 grandchildren, Wallace Murphy, Sheila Romain, Darlene Johnson, Gale Smith

10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren

a daughter-in-law Pauline Murphy of Louisville, KY
