JUDGE PAUL BARRY JONES age 77 years of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at
10:11 a.m. at his home.
He was born July 8, 1936 in Danville, KY the son of the late: Paul Bradshaw and Mabel Elizabeth Shipp Jones He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister: JoAnn Walker
Judge Paul Barry Jones served as Circuit Judge for 18 years for Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Monroe
Counties. He was District Judge for 2 years of Adair and Casey County, Kentucky
He was an attorney for 20 years with Hurt & Jones Law Office and then Jones and Jones Law Office
He was also a retired farmer and a former instructor at Lindsey Wilson College.
He was a graduate of Adair County High School, Georgetown College and Vanderbilt University Law
School. He was a member of Columbia Masonic Lodge # 96 for over 50 years, member of Columbia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years and also served as Choir/Music director.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathy Carter Jones of Columbia, KY

Leslie King and husband William of Frankfort, KY
Lynne Stinson and husband Mark of Auburn, KY
Seven grandchildren; Wesley Jones, Ashley Jones, Kelly Jones, Miranda Varner, Leann Martin,
B.J. Stinson, Loren Stinson
Two great grandchildren:
Anderson Varner and Billy Martin
One niece survives: Kathy Walker Clarke of Colorado
Funeral service: Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
Clergy officiating: Dr. Michael O'Neil
Interment in Columbia Cemetery
The family will receive friends after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral
