He was born on Nov. 16, 1948 in Adair County

He was the son of the late Finis & Jewell McQueary Burton

He is survived by his wife Betty Rooks Burton

Two sons: Kenny Joe Burton of Portland &

Jason Burton & his friend Lisa Crawhorn & her son Riley Burton of Portland

Two brothers: Coy Burton & wife Donna of Columbia, Ky.

Kenneth Dale Burton & wife Peggy of Knifley, Ky.

Grandson: Riley Burton

Preceded in death by one sister & two brothers: Ruby Roberts, Finis Burton, Jr. & Don Burton

also surviving are several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives & friends survive

He was a retired saw mill worker
