He was born on June 11, 1951 in Casey County, Ky.

He was the son of the late Woodrow & Edith Wethington McFarland of Casey County, Ky.

He was preceded in death by one sister Bernice McFarland

He attended the Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church in Casey County,

was a farmer & timber cutter
