John Ameri age 79 years of 178 Ameri Road, Columbia, KY (the Sparksville Community)

passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center

in Lexington, KY after an illness.

He was the son of the late: Santino & Maria Ragalyi Ameri

He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Szanyi Ameri on October 31, 2006

Survived by two daughters:

Ann Marie Ameri of Columbia, KY

Maria Margaret Foreman of Wallend, Tennessee

Two step grandchildren also survive

Two sisters: Flora Gambini and Della Maggio both of East Chicago, Indiana

Mr. Ameri was a served in both the U S Navy and the U S Army in the Korean War

he was a retired farmer

The family has chosen cremation and there will be no public viewing or service

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
