JOAN BLADES age 74 of 1083 Lee Street, Columbia, KY

(formerly of the Sparksville Community) passed away Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2:44 PM at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

She was the daughter of the late: Charlie & Olivia Brewington Upchurch of Adair County, Kentucky

Preceded in death by her husband William Herbert Blades

on May 19, 1996

Survived by one daughter: Kathy Walczak of Okatie, S C

One sister: Joyce Campbell of Sparksville, KY

One brothers: David G. Upchurch of Sparksville, KY

A special friend survives: Buck Rowe of Columbia, KY

Several nieces and nephews survive and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by one son:

William Terrell Blades in 1974

Preceded in death by four brothers: Marcus Upchurch, James Upchurch, Ronald Upchurch and Gary Upchurch

Mrs. Blades attended the Sparksville Church of the Nazarene

she was a homemaker.
