Jewel Frances
(Bryant) Kimbler
September 4, 1939 – October 19, 2025
Jewel Frances Kimbler, 86, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on September 4, 1939, in Adair County to the late Welby O. and Emma Lee McGaha Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby E. Kimbler and a brother Huston Bryant.
Mrs. Kimbler attended the Bearwallow Church and Mt. Olive Baptist Church and served the Adair County Public Library as Assistant Librarian for over 40years. She was avid Gone with the Wind collector and Statler Brothers fan. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two children Dawn Baker (Tim) of Columbia, KY and Doug Kimbler (Cindy) of Alvaton, KY; five grandchildren Emmalee Baker Ford (Quenton), Lucas Kimbler, Joshua Kimbler, Sam Baker, and Addie Baker; three great grandchildren Octavia Jewel Ford, Samuel Baker, and Truman Ford; a bonus grandchild Kevin Reynolds (Debbie) and two bonus great grandchildren Bailey and Will Reynolds.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to all her caregivers, especially Jodie Hagan, Addison Litterall, and Matthew Wright.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00pm and will continue Wednesday until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Greg Wade and Bro. Troy Long will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Josh Kimbler, Lucas Kimbler, Mark Kimbler, Brent Kimbler, Sean Cook, Quenton Ford, Kevin Reynolds and Greg Jessee. Honorary pallbearers will be all employees and board members at Adair County Public Library.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hosparus of Green River for their extraordinary help and care.
