Jessie Elbert Hagan, 75, of Columbia, KY died Friday, April 30, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Columbia, KY on November 1, 1945 to the late Clyde E. and Erie Ellen Tabor Hagan.
Jessie was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was Chaplain of the Breeding Volunteer Fire Department. He was a farmer, Gas attendant at Lynn's Service Center and Gate Worker at Bluegrass Stockyards. He loved going to church, mowing his yard and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Jo Carol Barnes Hagan of Columbia; nine children Dale Hagan of Edmonton, KY, Robert Hagan of Edmonton, KY, Karen Ennis of Glasgow, KY, Cindy Lollar (Chris) of Edmonton, KY, Stephen Hagan (April Polston) of Hardyville, KY, Darrell Hagan (Leigh) of Glasgow, KY, Tracy Shirley of Cave City, KY, Michael Hagan (Laketa) of Columbia, KY and Erica Hagan of Edmonton, KY; twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers Jim Hagan (Thelma) of Columbia, KY and Dave Hagan (Barbara) of Glasgow, KY and several niece and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Debbie Lynn Hagan; four brothers L. W., Edward, Earl and Ernest Hagan and two sisters Louise Bendner and Margie Samuell.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, May 3, 2021 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Sparksville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00-8:00pm and continue on Monday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Fireman's Honor Guard will be provided by Breeding Volunteer Fire Department.
For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering.
